Two years ago, the Liberty University Student Government Association was blessed to receive an amazing office on the third floor of the Montview STUDENT Union. Since then, the SGA have effectively used this office space for events, conversations, and administrative purposes. The SGA is a large student led organization that fosters unity, serves clubs, and is the main bridge for students to administration. In order to efficiently carry out these tasks, an office space must be made available. This space is imperative to the continued service that SGA promises the student body. Recently, other entities have been actively trying to take over the valuable office space that the SGA currently occupies. The whole purpose of the Student Union is to have a space for students to study, socialize, and serve. We believe that allowing another organization to take over this office space would undermine the whole definition of our student union and the goal of making the SGA easily available to students.
