Remove or re-evaluate the use of Naviance

The Issue

Naviance is a college readiness technology that claims "Naviance helps students reach their goals by developing skills critical for college, career and life." However, Me and my fellow classmates believe Naviance is more of an obstacle for the student, and that is creates more issues than it solves. The first issue encountered by students is it's Personality test. It is a test based on the "Myers-Briggs" personality test. This test has been proven faulty by many psychology researchers.
“In social science, we use four standards: are the categories reliable, valid, independent, and comprehensive?” Adam Grant, a professor of industrial psychology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, wrote in an essay on the subject. “For the MBTI, the evidence says not very, no, no and not really.”
(Yancey-Bragg, N. (2019, May 07). Here's why people still take the Myers-Briggs test - even though it might not mean anything. Retrieved September 10, 2020, from https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/05/06/myers-briggs-type-indicator-does-not-matter/3635592002/ )

The next step our school told us to do was prepare a resume on Naviance for jobs and for our mock interviews. This required you to input information that could support your resume, and it would auto generate it. Now, don't get me wrong, this is a good idea, had Naviance performed to the task at hand, which it failed to do. Our administration ended up telling students to redo their resumes due to the absurd length of the resumes that Naviance formatted. A fellow classmate in my advisory said that it turned his 1 page resume into one that was 4 pages long. So now, on top of not giving student the education on how to format a resume of their own for when they are no longer in school using Naviance, It has also given all students a grossly long resume that would be a pain for anyone to read.
Now, preparing for college, things have gotten even more complicated. To my knowledge our school is requiring us to use Naviance to attain and send our transcripts, letters of recommendation, and school reports. this means that now instead of having these things sent straight to Common App, now there is a complicated middle man that adds a complicated step in the college application.

Overall, Naviance has lacked in teaching us any skills needed for our future, has hurt our ability to make resumes and get jobs, and now is even taking more money out of our pockets, to allow us the opportunity to pay for already pricey education.
We request that Naviance's use either be re-evaluated, or entirely removed from our college and career readiness process.
