Dopo che le autorità saudite hanno emesso nei suoi confronti una condanna a morte, mutata poi in otto anni e 800 frustate, e dopo che ha passato più di sei anni nei carceri sauditi e ricevuto 600 frustate, il poeta Ashraf Fayadh ha subito nuovamente negli ultimi giorni delle torture. Il mondo sa che Ashraf Fayadh è stato punito in base ad un’interpretazione errata di alcune sue poesie.

In questo periodo critico della storia dell’umanità crediamo che la vita di Ashraf  sia minacciata.

Perciò chiediamo di annullare tutte le sentenze emesse contro di lui e di liberarlo immediatamente. Invitiamo i veri creativi, poeti, artisti e cinematografi soprattutto, e tutte le persone libere a muoversi immediatamente e con efficacia attraverso:

Lettere per chiedere immediatamente e senza condizioni la liberazione di Ashraf Fayadh rivolte alle ambasciate saudite nel mondo e soprattutto nell’occidente europeo e americano.
Lettere rivolte ai presidenti dei governi che affermano di garantire la democrazia e i diritti dell’uomo e la libertà di pensiero nel mondo.
Intensificare questi movimenti con diverse iniziative e non fermarsi affinché il caso di Ashraf Fayadh, diventato caso della libertà della creatività ovunque, rimanga presente fortemente fino a lasciare il carcere salvo e vivo verso dove vuole.

بَعْدَ أن أصْدَرَت السلطات في المملكة العربية السعودية حكماً في حقِّه بالإعدام ثُمّ جرى استبداله بالحكم ثمانيَ سنوات سجناً وثمانمائة جَلْدَة ، وَبَعْدَ أن أمضى أكثرَ مِن ستّ سنوات وتلقّى ستمائة جلدة ، تَعَرَّضَ الشاعر الفلسطيني "أشرف فيّاض" ، مُجَدَّداُ خلال الأيام القليلة الماضية، للتعذيب. وقد بات مَعلوماً عَبْرَ العالم أنّ "أشرَف  فيّاض" عُوقِبَ على خلفيّةِ تأويل جَهول

لبعض قصائده.

واننا على اقتناع انّ حياة الشاعر "أشرف فيّاض" باتت مُهَدَّدة .

ولذا فإننا نطالب بإلغاء جميع الاحكام ضده وبإطلاق سراحه فورا،  وندعو المبدعين الحقيقيين شعراء وفنانين تشكيليين وسينمائيين بخاصّة وأحرار العالم كافّة إلى التّحَرَّك الفوري الناجع وذلك من خلال:

*توجيه الرسائل المُطالِبة  بالإفراج الفوري غير مشروط عن المبدع أشرف فيّاض بدون قيد أو شرط، إلى السفارات السعوديّة في العالم وخاصة في الغرب الأوربي والأمريكي.

* توجيه الرسائل إلى رؤساء الدول والحكومات في الدول التي تدّعي أنّها معنيّة بالديمقراطيّة وحقوق الإنسان وحرية التعبير وحرية الضمير عبر العالم .

 

*تكثيف هذا التحرّك بمبادرات مختلفة وعدم توقّفه كي تبقى قضيّة أشرف فيّاض ، التي هي الآن قضيّة حريّة الإبداع في كلّ مكان، حاضرة بحرارة إلى أن يغادر السجن حيّاً سليما إلى حيث يريد.

After the death sentence issued by the Saudi authorities against Ashraf Fayadh, later lowered to an eight year prison sentence and eight-hundred lashes, and after spending more than six years in a Saudi jail  and receiving 600 lashes, over the past few days, the poet Ashraf Fayadh has again been subjected to torture. The whole world knows that Ashraf Fayadh has been punished based on a malicious interpretation of some of his poems. 

In this critical period of human history  we believe that Ashraf Fayadh’s life is under threat.

This is why we ask that all sentences issued against him be annulled and he be freed immediately. We call on all truly creative people, poets, artists and directors, first of all, and all freedom loving people to mobilize immediately and effectively by means of:

 

Letters demanding Ashraf Fayadh’s immediate and unconditional release directed to Saudi embassies throughout the world and foremost in the West, both Europe and North America.
Letters directed to the presidents of those States that claim to guarantee democracy and human rights, as well freedom of opinion in the world.
Strengthen these movements with different initiatives and refuse to stop so that Ashraf Fayadh’s case, which has become a case for freedom and creativity everywhere, may maintain a strong  presence and he may leave prison alive and well towards a destination of his choosing.
