Dear friends of Sea-Eye,

the situation in Afghanistan continues to deteriorate. Today, the Taliban attacked Kabul and will soon control the entire country. Many people are living in panic and fear now, but have no possibility to escape. Therefore, we call upon the German government and the European Union to create safe passages from Afghanistan!

Because without safe passages, people will have to flee on their own. They will have to fight their way through deserts and internment camps. They will have to board unseaworthy boats and many - including children and families - will die on this flight.

More than 250 municipalities and cities have declared their willingness to take in refugees with the “Seebrücke – Create safe havens” alliance. Now it is about time for the federal government to accept this offer.
