Dear friends of Sea-Eye,
the SEA-EYE 4 has been detained by Italy. Thus, our worst fear has come true. Instead of continuing the success story of the first rescue mission last month and coming to the aid of people in acute danger of their lives, we now have to deal with the grotesque arguments of the Italian coast guard. More info about the detention
The EU states continue to rely on isolation and to enforce it, they resort to increasingly violent means. To detain rescue ships means that people will die. A detention means violence against people who are fleeing.
We will do everything we can to return to the field as soon as possible. On Friday, the city of Palermo showed once again how many supporters stand by our side by awarding the crew of the SEA-EYE 4 the honorary citizenship of the city.
Please support us with your permanent donation. This will help send the SEA-EYE 4 back to its mission. Donate now!
Yours, Gorden Isler
