Dear friends of Sea-Eye,
we did it! Six months ago Sea-Eye e. V. bought a former offshore supply vessel and now we have completed its upgrade to a proper rescue ship. Yesterday the SEA-EYE 4 left the shipyard in Rostock and is now underway to the Mediterranean.
We would like to thank everyone who has worked hard to ensure that we can now operate an optimally equipped rescue ship to save people from drowning.
The departure of the SEA-EYE 4 was a heartfelt moment for all of us and we would like to share it with you. For this purpose, we filmed the casting off of the ship and the first few miles of its journey. Enjoy the video!
Although this is a moment of great joy for us, we also need to be mindful of the costs that operating this new and bigger ship will entail. With your permanent donation we can plan our rescue operations more sustainably and send the SEA-EYE 4 on its first mission to save people from drowning as soon as possible.
Yours, Gorden Isler
- Chairman of Sea-Eye e. V.
