Let's be fair, the current polyamory flag isnt exactly among the nicest. The colours clash and are fairly aggressive to look at. However, I have designed (or rather slightly modified) a new flag.

The most unsettling parts of the current flag, at least personally, are the very saturated red and the pi symbol. Red is a very overbearing colour and tends to stick out when not neutralized. While being a nice tone, the pi symbol may be missing the mark. It's meant to represent infinity, as pi has an infinite number of digits. However, it can easily be mistaken for simply an irrational number, signifying a perceived lack of sense in polyamory. 

Most notably, the colour palette in the revised flag is much softer, yet balanced for an aesthetically pleasing result. The first stripe in the new and improved flag, light blue, stands for freedom and trustworthiness. The middle, royal blue, stands for loyalty, security and honesty. The black is still the same, solidarity with those who have to hide their polyamorous relationships from the public in fear of judgement. Lastly, the simplified  middle symbol embodies infinite love, in a similar yellow for the happiness and emotional strength gained. As a more concealed ,yet present, reference to the last of a loving polyamorous relationship, the infinity symbol around the heart is slightly more golden, meaning resistance to time, as gold does not rust.
