A new rule in Manipal University Jaipur is keeping students with valid reasons and engagements deprived to sit in the Mid Term Examinations. Earlier this rule applied to only End Term Examinations. To be noted that this half of the semester was under severe weather conditions, rainfall, seasonal sickness for which it is difficult to always produce a medical certificate. Some students were engaged in Hackathons and Various Inter College National Level Competition for which too they weren't granted attendance. The hostel also went through several incidents of fights and violence. Stressing upon and expecting 75% attendance in these uncomfortable and unusual times is draconian. Extraordinary Times call for extra ordinary Leadership, from the College management to make sure the students can hope and be assured that their college leadership is empathetic towards them and listens to there pain. Students can be given the chance to complete their 75% attendance for ETE but expecting the same for MTE and penalizing them by making them give recessionals in the holiday season away from their homes and families is very cruel, considering the sheer amount of students going through so much because of this new rule. REPEAL THIS RULE AND SHOW THE STUDENTS YOU CARE!
