Let us use Dining Dollars at vending machines again

Let us use Dining Dollars at vending machines again
The Issue
This year's freshmen may not know of a time where our Dining Dollars - yes, the ones that we pay between $2,500 and $3,000 for each semester - gave us access to the vending machines scattered across campus. Michigan Tech has added easily a dozen new vending machines since the spring semester, but they are becoming less and less accessible for its students.
There is no logical reason that students are no longer able to use Dining Dollars at vending machines across campus - no reason, that is, except profit. Michigan Tech knows that vending machines are the most accessible way to use our Dining Dollars (that we've already paid for), and by making it impossible to simply tap our cards or even use cash, they force us to pay out-of-pocket with credit or debit, leaving our Dining Dollars untouched and resulting in even more net profit.
It's our money, and we want it now!
