I and my fellow players are the ones who are impacted by this great Injustice.

The Artificer class is the only official DND class that starts with studded leather. Cleric, druid, bard, rogue, fighter, warlock, and ranger all start with studded leather. Artificer is the only class to be introduced in a separate sourcebook, making starting armor a pay to win aspect. This can easily be changed via a simple ruling from our dm.

We're starting at level three so our characters would have had the ability to make this purchase before the start of the game.

The thing that is at stake for me and my fellow players is our time and our AC. In order to get studded leather we will have to do shopping in character and that will take up additional time that could be spend doing valuable things. 

Getting studded leather would not break the game or make it unbalanced, we would be able to get it shortly anyways, it's just going to take up valuable time and it's foolish to waste it in such a way.

Now is the time to act because making us buy it in character will only waste our session time, and make play more monogamous.
