Protect the Rights of Young, Pregnant Boys

The Issue

There are many young, pregnant boys that will not have the same opportunities as their male peers who are not pregnant. These young boys deserve access to health care, school, and opportunities that their peers have access to. Young, pregnant boys make up a large part of the homeless population. They have been kicked out of their homes and dropped out of school.

People should protect young, pregnant boys for many reasons. Firstly, teenage pregnancy can have significant physical and emotional health risks both for the baby and the father. Pregnant boys who are still in school may also face negative social and academic consequences, such as dropping out of school. Moreover, without access to proper healthcare and support, young pregnant boys may struggle with delivering a healthy baby or raising a child.

In addition to this, protecting young pregnant boys can help prevent early or forced marriages, as well as reducing the risk of sexual exploitation and abuse. Protecting young pregnant boys requires providing access to comprehensive sexual education, contraception, and healthcare. By empowering young boys with knowledge and resources necessary to make informed decisions about their bodies and future, we can help reduce the negative impact of teenage pregnancy, ensure the health and well-being of both the father and the child, and ultimately create more opportunities for young men to thrive within their communities.

If we do not implement programs for these young boys, they will continue to face these issues.
