After putting two plus years of effort and hard work into earning our degree in Nursing at Pikes Peak State College, it’s important to us to celebrate our accomplishment with close friends and family there cheering us on. Our cohort is filled with individuals who have all made sacrifices- mothers and fathers who have been working hard the past two years to push through school. Some individuals are barley making ends meet to get through the program and pay tuition. We have worked hard to make it to this point in our career to attend pinning and graduate. However, now that we are here our voice isn’t being heard on how where we would like our cermony to be and how many people per graduate are allowed. 

Our pinning location has been changed from a place where unlimited guests could attend, to a location where only three guest are allowed for $100. We have stated this is not what we want and we have been ignored by the pinning committee and staff members. It’s not okay/ acceptable to be allowing only a few people to make this decision that is effecting so many individuals. We want the ability to choose where our pinning will be and how many people we can bring.
