Let them walk!

Let them walk!

My Son is a senior at Armstrong High School. Unfortunately, my son was involved in a fight last week. Two boys jumped his longtime friend and my son jumped in to help his friend.
There were other fights that happened that day that did not involve my son or his friend. Long story short Armstrong suspended my son for 5 days ok I get it. The school also did not let him attend prom this past weekend. Still ok I understand the punishment. But Armstrong has gone too far by not letting these boys cross the stage at graduation. June 3rd! Convention Center
I have talked to the assistant principal. I was upset yet calm. I didn't raise my voice with her. I told her I disagree with not letting them walk across the stage for graduation. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You have already taken prom. She told me "Tough". I asked for the superintendent's phone number and was given the principal's number. I left a few messages with him. I even went into the school and tried to negotiate a different punishment. Or at least let me take him and be responsible for him while at the graduation ceremony. He would not consider anything I or my dad said. I don't condone fighting but you have a right to defend yourself. These boys did not start a fight. Our young black boys worked hard to graduate 🎓 💪🏾 let them walk!
I have left a couple messages for the superintendent of Robbinsdale and have yet to hear from her.
