Chelsea Gardens Apartments should be shutdown due to years of neglect and years of unsafe living conditions. Chelsea Gardens Apartment have their tenants living with black mold, constant water damage and mushrooms growing out the wall. They paint the tubs so kids is taking baths with chipped paint in the water. A grandmother actually showed me a video of her grandchild in a bath full of chipped paint from the tub. That is dangerous within itself. There are infestations, holes in walls due to them fixing on something and leaving it for months without completion. And when they do decide to complete it, it’s still not fixed.Tenants goes to management and complains, management give the tenants attitudes like their not suppose to be frustrated when their constantly asking for something to be done but to no avail. Management want their rent on time, but can’t take care of their tenants like they should.It’s always a shortage with maintenance staff,and things don’t get done. Code enforcement has been called a numerous of times due to the negligence of the tenants personal space or the apartments altogether. Code enforcement don’t fined them like they should, I was told personally by a supervisor of code enforcement that they can keep giving them fines all they want but they still not going to do what needs to be done. I been here since August 2021 and only seen pest control twice since I been here, and pest control is added with rent. Trash and strays everywhere, management don’t take care of their tenants like they should. Tenants are disrespected when voicing concerns, or even if their frustrated with the constant neglect. management could care less due to their actions toward the situation. If nothing is done about this, management and the owners of these apartments will continue to make a profit off of peoples pain by over charging for apartments that’s clearly not in good standing or livable conditions, black mold is very dangerous to a persons health,they will continue to neglect people’s needs, and they will continue to ignore the safety hazards. So please stand with me and sign this petition to move the tenants to a better living arrangement and for them to Shut Chelsea Gardens Apartments down for good. These apartments is not safe for anyone to continue to live in and needs to be Shut down completely.
