Let’s tell the UK government and NATO to Stop Fuelling the War in Ukraine with Tax payer’s money. Because they aren’t helping the Ukrainians, they are pushing innocent people to their own death. The Best way to help Ukraine is to stop sending weapons into the country. Instead, encourage and engage with the leaders of both warring parties to sit around the negotiating table. Give the Ukrainian children Bread and not Bombs

Our government's effort of sending weapons to Ukraine to fight a Proxy war is destroying the country and killing innocent people as well as destroying our own economy which impact we are all feeling right now. The price of basic foodstuff and other utilities are skyrocketing as a result of our involvement in the war.  

Let’s sign this petition to ask our government not to hide behind the Ukrainian conflict to fight Russia in a Proxy war like what other governments before this one have done in the past and failed. Let the government, and their warmongers' supporters become men and women enough to confront their enemy and stop hiding behind Ukraine to fight Russia.  

Many politicians across Europe who are shouting let’s support the Ukrainian government and their military with weapons to defeat Russia have little idea about what war actually means. They have never been in the active war zone to see what a single Mortal Shell or an RPG rocket can do to the human body. They have never had the experience of becoming the only survivor who lives to tell the story after their whole family is wiped from the face of the earth in just one minute when one of the warheads that western governments are sending to Ukraine has done its perfect job.

They only sat in their offices to prescribe untold suffering for innocent people who literally have little or nothing in common with them. (Check out for the "Wailing from the Bleeding Nations series" this end of the year.)

For more than 14 years, I lived through two bloody civil wars in Africa and I’ve seen the anguish of what war really is firsthand. I was tripped in a cage-like society where I saw westerners; British and South African mercenaries, American and Cuban mercenaries, and Ukrainian and Russian mercenaries, all fighting and supporting local dissidents for the selfish interests of their oversea governments as we killed ourselves for their pleasure, just as we are seeing in today’s Ukraine.

The Western objectives in those days, as well as the objective in the Ukrainian conflict, are the same; to weaken their opponent, yet it’s the innocent people who have no hand in politics who are being killed on a daily basis.

For more than 14 years when I was a child, I and many other African children, together with our parents and families lived under constant fear as our numbers diminished every day just like the Ukrainian population is experiencing. During such time, one doesn’t know if today was their last day, and every day was like a Christmas, the same situation which is unfolding in Ukraine at the moment. Let's stop the war by discouraging our government from sending weapons to the country. Please sign this petition. 

There is no winner in a war, we are all losers, and the innocent population who don’t know anything about politics will end up paying the heaviest price with their lives. In such a state of anarchy, as it's unfolding in Ukraine, the majority of our donation money and government support will never reach or serve their intended purpose, we are only enriching politicians, warlords, and their associates. I witnessed this for 14 years. 

If the British people and the rest of Europe and the so-called NATO really care about the Ukrainians and want to protect their fundamental human rights, fuelling the war with weapons to defeat Russia on Ukrainian soil is not the right solution. Every dead Ukrainian was once a good Ukrainian who belongs to a family before the war.

Remember, I’ve been through such a war where the support from the British and the American governments, with even the British military seeing actions on the ground wasn’t enough to solve the problem, other than escalating the situation as we are seeing in Ukraine. Tony Blair was prime minister at the time, he can testify to this.

 Every day, thousands of innocent young men whose primary objective of joining their country’s military or reserve was to serve their country in terms of a genuine and equal strength conflict are been fed into the war like Cannon Fodder while holding our donated weapons in their hands, that which we brainwashed them that it was going to protect them from the Russians airstrikes. (Some captured ex-British military officers in the Ukrainian conflict can testify this as well.)

I want us to question our government for the truth about the war because I can assure you that what is happening in Ukraine is not what is being said on our mainstream media. Let us sign this petition to make our voice louder that we disagree with Putin’s war in Ukraine, but equally, we understand that military action on Ukrainian soil is not the solution. Patriotism is not all about sending weapons to other people’s countries to kill innocent people in Proxy wars because we want to punish our enemy.

With the development of the Ukrainian conflict, narrowmindedness, bias and prejudice have forced us to forget our democratic and fundamental role on the world stage as a country that other nations look up to as role models and for advice, and now we have become a laughing stock. We are no longer able to persuade any of our smaller Commonwealth of Nations to join our war effort because they now clearly see that the great United Kingdom has lost its mind, allowing the USA to control her like a remote, forgetting that we are the creator of the very English and system which the American has modified to suit their interest at our detriment, and now dragging us into any of their nonsensical wars; from Iraq to Afghanistan, Syria to Libya, Liberia to Sierra Leone, etc. 

Let me remind us that our generation is not the first that want to see the destruction of the Russian's society. Boris Johnson is not the first prime minister that wants to see the downfall of the Russian nation. Winston Churchill, our Prime Minister during the Second World War, who was also an ally to the Russian in their effort to defeat Nazis Germany was as well undermining Russia or the USSR to destroy it while smiling at them. He did everything within the power of his government to see the downfall of the Russian people and their society but he failed. I’m sure, history is about to repeat itself once more.

As a historian and writer, who has been writing about the British and her American ally’s Proxy war in Africa, I see it as my responsibility to let us know that our society is on the wrong footing under Boris Johnson in connection with the Ukrainian war, in the same way, Tony Blair dragged us into Iraq to disarm Saddam Hussein who we believed have weapons of mass destruction WMD. Something which ended up becoming Fake news.

Let’s sign this petition as a way of putting pressure on our government to stop sending weapons to Ukraine. There is no winner in a war, all are losers. Let’s correct our past mistakes by using our intellectual minds and stop dancing to USA music.

There used to be a day when we believe that the sun never goes down on the English horizon. In the 21st century, we can’t continue supporting nonsensical wars around the world as a way for nations to help us keep the sun in our sky. Sign this petition and we will all put an end to the bloodshed in Ukraine. Let’s give the Ukrainian children Bread and not Bombs.
