Stone Temple Pilots is a Grammy winning band. They have 8 studio albums, 6 with Scott Weiland and 2 with Jeff Gutt and 1 EP with Chester Bennington. If you turn on any classic rock radio station you'll still hear Stone Temple Pilots song a couple times at least so the radio stations think they're great still so why shouldn't they get into the Hall of Fame? All of the bands members are fantastic musicians. Other musicians from the 90s have said that Scott Weiland was the voice of that decade and STP was a band above their time so the voters of the Hall of Fame need to take that into consideration. If they want to talk about inconsistent career trajectory then why is Nirvana inducted? Unfortunately Kurt Cobain died 3 years after they came out so how is that consistent career trajectory?
