This petition is for ALL THE RESIDENTS of the Jersey Shore Area School District who do NOT support the school board's recent vote to close Salladasburg Elementary School.  If you believe it was a rushed vote with too many questions left unanswered, please sign this petition. If you believe the voted on plan was incomplete with no real guarantee it would work, please sign this petition. If you believe the vote has a real and significant chance to impact the education of our youngest students in a bad way AND cost taxpayers lots of money, please sign this petition. If you believe small community schools are the best way to educate our elementary students, please sign this petition.  If you believe crowding over 700 small children into one school is a bad idea, please sign this petition. If you believe our youngest students should not have to make even longer bus rides than they do now, please sign this petition. If you believe the board failed to closely examine all the other options that should have been considered BEFORE voting to close a school, please sign this petition. If you believe a vote to close a school should NOT take place until EVERY SINGLE OTHER OPTION HAD BEEN EXHAUSTED, please sign this petition.
