We have seen several British-era mis-spellings of Indian names corrected in recent times. "Orissa" was corrected to "Odisha". "Oriya" was corrected to "Odia". 

Isn't it high time Odissi be changed to "Odishi"?
The spelling "Odishi" will unambiguously associate with Odisha, and also eliminate any accidental confusion/conflation between Odissi and the Greek classic Odyssey.

We call upon the state and central governments to make this change. Until that happens, we should on our own adopt "Odishi" as the spelling in our communication. If people start using "Odishi", the change would be forced on the government automatically.
