Recently a discussion arose on Facebook regarding the 4-H Grace. As a result of this discussion 4-H Ontario Staff sent out an email stating that the 4-H Grace should cease being used. This particular grace has been a staple in the 4-H Organization for well over 100 years and to just tell people to stop using this without even a conversation with local Association or with the 4-H Ontario Board of Directors really bothered me.

The Ontario Human Rights Code states that organizations need to exercise due diligence to make sure that competing rights are protected, and forms of accommodation are developed that most respect and fulfill the rights of all parties. By unilaterally removing the 4-H Grace and this long held tradition, 4-H Ontario has put the rights of one group over that of another.
