This petition is for all the KFC chicken lovers out there. On November 24th 2019 KFC in Kirkland Lake Ontario closed its doors without a warning. It was a sad day for all the locals, because the restaurant runs deep in the community dating back to the 1970s. You can't remove something with roots that are so deep just like that, Not after so many years of patronage. It's a blow to the food market in the Timiskaming area.The company declined to elaborate on the reasons for the closure. Takeout is just not the same anymore. I remember the smell of the chicken every time I would walk by, the delicious gravy, the Hot wings, the popcorn chicken, the Big Crunch. The 25 piece Party pack, and much more! KFC was a big part of  many events, gatherings, and family meals in this community. Going out with friends, Summer picnics, fun birthday parties, meetings, celebrations, etc. There is just nothing that beats a delicious KFC meal after a hard day's work. But now it's no more. We are missing out on all the new tasty products they promote, and with no other KFC at any near area we are left with Nothing. You cannot always go out of town for these things. It would be great for the town and it's economy if KFC would return to Kirkland Lake. With a population of around 10,000 I'm sure it would flourish.
