I am a young woman who has special needs, including some characteristics of Autism. After I saw the trailer for this movie I was completely disgusted by the way that people like me are portrayed and the usage of a non disabled actor for the role of someone who is severely Autistic. I went to school with individuals who were non verbal and could only speak through a communication device. This movie clearly makes fun of that level of Autism in a horrific and disturbing manner and I’m completely appalled by it. Sia should be absolutely ashamed for mocking people who are “different” than others so I’m asking for anyone to sign this petition and boycott this artist for what she has done to our community. It is truly hurtful and sickening.
