Due to efforts to cut back on spending for the arts department, the Syosset school district has decided not to hire back enough teachers to account for the number of arts teachers retiring, and instead is planning to move Ms. Mercieca from the high school to Berry Hill Elementary. As a result, we created this petition to keep our beloved Ms. Mercieca at SHS.
