Starting this year, all phones were banned in Florida. What is so stupid about this is that MDCPS students can't even use them at lunch or to complete school activities and assignments. They took the fun out of school, and ever since students do not want to learn. We can't do things such as take pictures of memories, or Kahoot (a very educational site), or some students who do not have laptops can not participate. Many students have to communicate with their parents and/or family and they can't, even in an emergency. They also cannot use them for recreational purposes such as lunch. This is idiotic and childish. They should let us use our phones. If the teachers can always be on their phones scrolling through Facebook instead of teaching, so should we. Especially in this heat. We can't call 911 if we have a heatstroke or if they forget to cancel schools in a hurricane and we need a jetski rental
