My name is Patrick Masur, and I’m working hard to open a new upscale bar, Rock’n Avenue, here in Palm Desert a place where our community can come together, enjoy great music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, and relax in a safe, welcoming environment.
This has been a dream of mine for a long time. I’ve invested my time, energy, and resources into creating something positive for our city something that adds to the local culture, supports the economy, and gives people a new place to enjoy.

Unfortunately, I’m now facing unexpected challenges. A neighboring business owner is opposing my permit based on concerns that don’t reflect the type of establishment I’m building. Rock’n Avenue is not that kind of bar it’s designed to be upscale, responsible, and well-managed.

At a recent planning commission meeting, additional conditions were proposed that are not being applied to other nearby businesses. I haven’t even had the opportunity to open my doors and prove the kind of respectful, high quality environment I intend to run.

All I’m asking for is a fair chance.

About the Owner: Patrick Masur

Hey there – I’m Patrick Masur, the proud owner of Rock’N Avenue, California newest and THE Hottest Rock ‘N Dance bar (COMING SOON)!  

Originally from South Dakota, I graduated from Beresford High School and knew right away that the traditional 9-to-5 life wasn’t for me. I’ve always had a self employed spirit, and over the years, I’ve built a variety of businesses—from a jet ski rental company & owned multiple fireworks stands (which was eventually bought out by a competitor), to a successful lawn and snow care company and more.  

One of my proudest accomplishments was owning HOLLARR, a 3,000 sqft successful bar I owned for nearly four years (only missing a few days of work in 4 years) before selling it for a nice profit. That experience proved that hard work, risk-taking, and full commitment can truly pay off.  

Of course, not every idea has been a hit. I’ve tried my hand at MANY tech ventures and other concepts that didn’t succeed—but I’ve learned something valuable from each and every attempt. I've lost it all and made it back multiple times. I’ve taken my fair share of criticism and dealt with plenty of haters throwing rocks and spewing lies to try to stop my momentum, but I stayed positive and I never let that stop me! I’m known for being bold, relentless, and VERY aggressive when it comes to marketing and growing my businesses.  

When I’m not working 20 hr days, I enjoy spending time with my family and helping my father, Jay Masur, with his nationally recognized MED-Star Paramedic Ambulance & Dirt Track Race Rescue Services, which travels the country - FIRE/EMS for sprint car dirt track racing events and also provides 911 services to South Dakota.  

After finding success in the bar industry, I decided to make the move to California because of the energy, diversity, and the like-minded spirit I found here. I’m now focused on launching what I believe will be the HOTTEST Rock’N Dance Bar in the Coachella Valley. Rock’N Avenue isn’t just about great drinks and music—it’s about creating a high-energy, unforgettable experience where people can connect, party, and have a blast. With my background and vision, Rock’N Avenue will attract a diverse mix of demographics, bringing together locals, tourists, and music lovers from all walks of life. Thank you, Coachella Valley, for the warm welcome. I’m excited to bring my vision to life and give back to this amazing community.
