LET GMA 7 AND TAPE, INC. (PRODUCER COMPANY OF EAT BULAGA) FOR SALE TO PLDT

The Issue

It's now time to sell right now to MediaQuest Holdings, Inc. (owned by PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund and owner of TV5 Network, Inc.) of Mr. Manuel “Manny” V. Pangilinan the percentage ownership of Atty. Felipe Gozon-Gilberto Duavit, Jr. Group in GMA Network, Inc. and 75% Jalosjos Family ownership in TAPE INC. (producer company of Eat Bulaga (formerly host by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon or TVJ who are now in TV5)), and the ownership of the group of Menardo Jimenez, Sr. in GMA Network, Inc. and remaining 25% ownership by Tony Tuviera (close to Tito, Vic and Joey) in TAPE, Inc. do not sell to Manny Pangilinan's MediaQuest

- to save the credibility and honor of GMA Network, Inc. because this company is stuck in the ongoing conflict between the group of TVJ and the Jalosjos Family (owner of 75% ownership of TAPE, Inc.),

- so that Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon's anger, annoyance and resentment against GMA 7 will disappear immediately.

- so that Tito, Vic and Joey can regain the title of "Eat Bulaga" from the hands of the Jalosjos.

- and until now Filipinos are still traumatized by the crime committed by Romeo Jalosjos, Sr. (Chairman of TAPE, Inc.) in the 90's even though he was released from his imprisonment in 2009.

When this transaction is done right now,

* it is more appropriate for Manny Pangilinan's MediaQuest to have a partner in TV5 in the person of Sir Joey Concepcion (owner of RFM Corporation and Concepcion Industrial Corporation and founder of non-profit organization called Go Negosyo) through the ownership of Sir Joey C. in 25% ownership on TV5 to become separate franchises, separate management, separate operations, and separate profiles for TV5 and GMA 7,

* it is more appropriate for Manny Pangilinan's MediaQuest to also buy 100% ownership in both Sky Cable Corporation (expect their defunct direct-broadcast satellite services and the assets of the former Home Cable should be sold to Ramon S. Ang through his company San Miguel Corporation) and Philippine Multi -Media Systems, Inc. (owner of defunct Dream Satellite TV) and 75% ownership in Summit Publishing Co., Inc. a.k.a Summit Media (digital lifestyle network company owned by Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng (daugther of late John Gokongwei) which publishing different magazines like Cosmopolitan, YES!, Esquire and Top Gear and operates web-exclusive sites like PEP.ph, SPIN.ph and Spot.ph),

* it would be better for Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon, Tony Tuviera and Manny Pangilinan's MediaQuest to invest in WBR Entertainment Productions, Inc. (producer company of Wowowin) by Willie Revillame through Tito, Vic, Joey, Tony and MediaQuest join force having 12.25% ownership to make the friendship between TVJ (especially Joey) and Willie wider

* and there needs to be events in the broadcast industry that will serve as safeguards so that the government and the Congress of the Philippines will not question the sale right now to MediaQuest of how many percent ownership of the group of Atty. Felipe Gozon and Gilberto Duavit, Jr. in GMA Network, Inc. and 75% Jalosjos Family ownership in TAPE, Inc. so that the broadcast industry competition of our country becomes more stable.

- Immediately sell 100% ownership in both ABS-CBN, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Rappler and Vera Files, 75% ownership in both The Manila Times and publishing companies of the family group of Late Amb. Antonio Cabangon-Chua which are BusinessMirror, Pilipino Mirror, Philippines Graphic, COOK Magazine and Brown Madonna Press, Inc., 51% ownership sa Aliw Broadcasting Corporation (owner of DWIZ 882 AM at 97.9 Home Radio FM), 34% ownership in RPN 9 (combination of 20% ownership currently owned by the Philippine Government via Presidential Communications Office and 14% ownership currently owned by the Private Stocks) and two assets of Sky Cable Corporation, its defunct Direct-broadcast Satellite services and Unilink Communications Corporation (owner of defunct Home Cable) to businessman Ramon S. Ang through his company San Miguel Corporation to expand the arena in which the Manny Pangilinan Group and Ramon Ang Group are competing.

- The Philippine government (via the Presidential Communications Office) immediately prioritizes the privatization of their assets such as their 100% ownership in IBC 13 (if it could be sold right now to Globe Telecom (the owner of this telecommunication company (Ayala Family) and family of late 1962-1975 IBC 13 owners Andres Soriano, Sr./Andres Soriano, Jr. are relatives)) and 20% ownership in RPN 9 (if it could be sold right now to Ramon S. Ang via San Miguel Corporation).

- Allow the Philippine government (via the National Telecommunications Commission) to allow the Manila Broadcasting Company (sell immediately if possible the 51% ownership of this mass media company in Converge ICT Solutions, Inc.) to re-own Manila Analog TV Channel 11 (especially the current owner of this frequency, ZOE Broadcasting Network, Inc. which owned by JIL Church of Bro. Eddie Villanueva should be bought also by Converge ICT Solutions, Inc.).

- President Bongbong Marcos immediately prioritizes as a matter of urgency the amendment/revision of not only the restrictive foreign mass media ownership provisions in the 1987 Constitution, but also all the restrictive foreign business ownership provisions in the said constitution must also be amended/revised to allow 100% foreign ownership so as to increase jobs in our country and establish Federalism and Parliamentary System.
