Hello, My name is Emma Demeyere and I’m a graduating student at GBHS. Unfortunately, our school’s administrators have decided to not let us walk with our dates to our grand march, and walk alone in single file. Although, other schools are letting graduates walk with their dates. Graduates with dates from different grades and different schools will also not be allowed to attend their grand march sadly. This is became a known issue that most graduates do NOT agree with this rule, and would prefer to walk WITH their date and not by themselves for numerous reasons. I understand not everyone will/can have a date, but like they did in all of the previous years, we can easily pair them up with someone who also doesn’t have a date!! As of right now, the office wants to still do it single file. Our graduation class would appreciate if you could sign our petition to show our school that we’d like the rules changed for our last big event in high school together! Thank you.
