On August 3rd, 2023, College Board announced the Florida Department of Education's decision to ban schools from teaching AP Psychology because of the discussion of sexuality and gender identity in the course. This law strips students away from learning about psychology and getting college credit, as well as taking away jobs from hard-working teachers.

If the Florida Dept. of Education revokes their decision, that means more students could have access to psychology education and college credit. AP Psychology has been by far one of my favorite classes I and many others have taken. more specifically, according to Edutopia, "Social psychology topics invite rich discussion, application, and speculation". Don't let the Department of Education strip away the passion of learning for so many people just because of the discussion of controversial topics. 

Since school starts this month, it is important to act now so Governor Desantis and other officials can see how many people oppose this bill. Change has to happen now, so please share this and spread the word. Thank you!
