District C voters in La Marque deserve the opportunity to decide whether Councilmember Joseph Lowry should continue representing them.   This petition supports a lawful, transparent effort to pursue the recall process provided for under the La Marque Home Rule Charter.   Concerns surrounding Councilmember Lowry and his conduct in public office have resulted in previous recall efforts. In 2025, one effort collected 268 signatures, with 183 ultimately verified—only eight short of the 191 signatures reportedly required at that time. A subsequent effort reportedly collected more than 200 signatures but was invalidated because of deficiencies in the petition paperwork.   Those efforts demonstrate that concerns about Councilmember Lowry are not limited to a handful of residents. They also demonstrate why any future recall effort must be carefully organized and conducted in accordance with the City's legal requirements.   This petition is intended to bring together residents who believe District C voters should have the opportunity to make that decision through the democratic process.   Important: This Change.org petition is not an official City of La Marque recall petition, and a signature collected here should not be considered an official recall signature.
