As you know, the Sioux Tribe at Standing Rock, ND is under attack by the big oil industry as they fight to protect our water, and ultimately, our land.

DAPL will generate 101.4 million metric tons of CO2 emissions per year. That is equal to 29.5 coal plants or 1.4 million U.S. passenger vehicles.

As our U.N. Messenger of Peace for the Climate, we consider it your responsibility to amplify our voices and our efforts to protect the climate. What is happening at Standing Rock is an immediate threat to all climate policy and action.

We implore you, as our representative, to show immediate support and strength towards Standing Rock by providing your physical presence. We ask you to utilize your influence as a notorious public figure and strong advocate of protecting the earth's climate.
