Dear DoDEA officials-

We, the undersigned, agree that DoDEA should continue to fund our Lejeune HS Swim team. We feel that our military children, particularly our athletes, have been adversely affected by the ongoing COVID pandemic. Like other sports, swim is an important aspect of healthy development as well as their mental and physical health. We sign the petition because we believe that competitive sport opportunities and activities, such as swimming, are critical in maintaining their total well-being during the bleakest winter months. Having this opportunity to compete will greatly affect their potential and continued success.

Bottom line, we feel as if the Department of Defense Activity Schools are not supporting the military child. This isn't just a regular public school... this is a school for children who's lives are drastically different than your average Department of Education student and the lack of support from DoDEA, especially Camp Lejeune Schools is unacceptable. Why do we need to fight for absolutely EVERYTHING our children deserve otherwise?
