Dear LEGO fan,

LEGO have increased the price of their Pick a Brick cup by 25% which is way above inflations. They've also done it without notice to loyal costumers and VIP members.

I’m asking LEGO for the following…

Put the price back to what it was in 2021

Give clear and advance notice of a price increase to LEGO customers

Increase price at a reasonable increase, such as 5% 

Increase re-using cup discount accordingly to a minimum of £1 per cup to encourage people to reuse, reduce plastic and help reward regular customers

Here are some more details...

The standard cup has gone from £6.99 to £7.99 – a 14% increase since 2021 – while the larger version is now £14.99 instead of £11.99 – 25% more than last year.

Thats a huge increase in price for people who are already struggling to pay for rising living costs.

I understand that prices may need to increase but at a reasonable rate. My cup of LEGO only cost LEGO pennies to make not £14.99. I know many people who will be shopping a lot less at LEGO stores due to the price increase.

As a regular purchaser of LEGO for the last 25 years I was highly disappointed that this was done WITHOUT prior notification.

I received no email to say thanks for buying regularly for the last 20+ years we want to let you know of a upcoming change in price.

There were no signs in shops before saying that’s what LEGO were planning to do.

There were no mention of it from staff as I buy pick a brick before the new year.

I would have expected a clear notice of a price change.
