I am a 16-year-old student studying for the benefit of our country, India. I respect the law and believe in observing traffic rules. I also believe in the personal freedom and progress that one can achieve if tools, like a driving license for scooters and bikes with engines under 125cc, are made accessible at 16. 

As a student, you face numerous challenges in juggling time around education, personal growth, and family needs. Having the ability to travel independently can greatly ease these pressures and provide new avenues for growth and progress. Traveling on scooters and bikes with engines under 125cc is ideally suited for a city's traffic conditions and makes these vehicles a preferred choice for many students.

Considering this, it is important to note that not all countries restrict 16-year-olds from acquiring a license. For example, Italy lets 16 year olds drive small scooters and motorcycles up to 125cc [source: Polizia di Stato]. These are examples of countries recognizing the needs of young people in today's fast-paced society.

This is not a demand for unrestricted driving rights, rather it's an appeal for rights that come with responsibilities. It is a request to the relevant authorities to adapt the laws accordingly.

Fines should certainly apply to those breaking traffic rules, irrespectively of age, but law abiding citizens should have the right to travel freely and independently for the betterment of our future and our country.
