Georgina has always been a rural community. Our town was built around farms, the lake, back roads, outdoor recreation, and a way of life that makes Georgina different from the cities to the south.

As Georgina grows, we shouldn’t lose that identity.

ATVs have always been part of rural living. They’re used for work, hauling equipment, accessing properties and trails, ice fishing, recreation, and simply getting around.

Currently, ATV use on Georgina roads is mostly limited to the winter months, while the Town has already introduced year-round ATV access in part of Ward 5.

We’re asking Georgina Town Council to expand responsible, year-round ATV use to appropriate Town roads across Georgina.

This isn’t about allowing ATVs to go anywhere they want. Riders should still be licensed and insured where required, wear helmets, obey speed limits, and respect other residents and road users.

It’s about allowing responsible residents to use their ATVs without having to trailer them just to travel a short distance through their own community.

Georgina can continue to grow without losing the rural lifestyle that made so many of us proud to call it home.
