As a resident of Beeston I would like to see the Cross Flatts park have lightning to ensure the safety of the people of Beeston. This park has a history of violent crime against men women and children and we feel that to make the park a safer place for the community that it would benefit from having lightning installed all the way around the park so there is no place for would be criminals to hide awaiting their next victim today we held a meeting to ask for this to happen but the councillor said that putting lightning in the park only gives us a false sense of security I disagree he also said that it is better to not walk through the park i say that we should be able to walk around without the threat of violence should we not buy a car because someone might steal it? I say that public safety is paramount how can you put a price on a life I understand no matter what we do you can never completely eliminate the threat but what we can do is reduce the risk of it happening please help us to make Cross Flatts park a safer place for everyone to visit or walk through be it night or day let’s make it so that these criminals have nowhere to hide  so they can pounce on poor unsuspecting people as they walk through the park and give the people of Beeston a safer place to live
