So, several months ago. Colonel Harlan Sanders' (Yes THE Colonel from KFC) Great Great Great Nephew, Colonel Anthony E. Sanders was on a mission. He selflessly and wholeheartedly, put every fiber of his being and knowledge of his family's fried chicken history into helping promote Lee's Famous Recipe Fried Chicken.

For those that are unaware, Lee's was started by another member of the Sanders family, Lee Cummings. However, just like KFC, Lee's is no longer under the ownership of the family but is it's own corporate entity. Anthony put his full attention on being their unofficial spokesman and main source of advertisement. MANY people who had never heard of Lee's started to follow their social media pages and even try out their food. Their social medias grew vastly thanks to Anthony's enthusiastic promotions.

He even went as far as to guide people to Lee's when they had complaints on KFC's social pages. He was truly a one man army when it came to pushing the brand. So much so.. they Lee's and him started talks to make his spokesmanship official. However, being a business, they did, understandably need time to make the decision. According to Anthony, they had roughly 6 months to give him a decision.. he finally got one a few days ago prior to this petition being made. The answer............................... was no.

Apparently the excuse they gave him, was that they had a small marketing team already and that they did NOT have the budget to hire him on. Despite all of his effort, all of his hard work. All of the absolute FREE advertisement and growth they enjoyed.. because of him ALONE..... that was all he got for his troubles. Now, understandably, many of his friends (I would like count myself as one of them) and followers, are quite upset and disappointed as well.

We were all rooting for him. Now, I encourage everyone who knows about this already or are just now finding out about it, to NOT spam Lee's pages with hateful comments. However, if you would like to tastefully let them know your displeasure. Then that is another matter entirely.

Now to the point. This is a petition to formally request to Lee's Famous Fried Chicken, that they immediately either hire Colonel Anthony E. Sanders, or at least, compensate him in some way, for all the work that he did already do. Now, I am no lawyer, but as far as I can tell, they are NOT legally obligated to do either of course. But fair is fair. at the VERY LEAST some small sort of financial compensation should be given. Lets make our voices heard for the young man.
