Is your child getting the proper education that they need from remote learning? Are other underprivileged children getting any education at all? These are just a few of the questions that we, as parents and citizens of Lee County Virginia, need to be asking ourselves and our school board officials.

Our children have already been forced out of the schools with no cohesive learning schedule or instruction since mid March and now a decision has been made, with no input from the parents or community, to force our children into remote learning until January 11, 2021.

Because of remote learning, our children are missing out on face to face instruction that is essential to give them the best education possible. A packet or a device mean nothing if there is no additional instruction given.

Unfortunately, it is the children who are suffering the most from these decisions! It is unacceptable to continue down this path any longer! As parents, we deserve the right to decide if our children are in school.
