So I finally had a meeting with dodo pubs on Friday to discuss the communities feelings about the loss of the Crosshands name. It was a full and frank discussion and we pointed out that I was disappointed that it is taken so long to meet face-to-face. The phrase too Little, too late was mentioned at one point.
They are a very reasonable bunch and have some ideas on how the name can be incorporated to a much lesser degree into part of the pub. I’m just waiting for some concrete evidence that this will happen. Once this is finalised I will give you more details. But in the meantime, please support the opening as we do not need to lose another pub in fishponds.
