To Extend Seller RTS/DTS from LAZADA and SHOPEE Due to Flood Event Nationwide in Malaysia

The Issue

The recent floods event in Malaysia in December 2021 is causing a huge impact to lots of families and their life. It also affecting thousands of businesses such as damage of stock & inventory, warehouses, facilities and infrastructure nationwide. Most of the business just struggled through the FMCO event on June 2021 and the floods has hit even harder to everyone!

Lazada and Shopee are the major online shopping platform in Malaysia, we urge both Lazada and Shopee to consider to extend DTS (Days To Ship) or RTS (Ready to Ship) due to this unfortunate event to Malaysia. Thus, we suggest to extend 7 days of DTS (Days to Ship) or RTS (Ready to Ship) with additional 7 days to act as recovery period, and to on hold any form of penalty or punishment during this critical moment.  The 14 days’ time frame is very critical to all sellers, and with above, we believe all affected sellers are able to survive through the floods with sufficient time to react.

We are the Southern Star Team, an E-commerce community based in Southern Malaysia, we aim to protect E-Sellers rights and provide a fair platform to voice up for industry betterment. Hence, we must voice up for all of the Malaysia’s E-seller at this very difficult moment. UNITED WE STAND!
