A Cry For Help

A Cry For Help
The Issue
As a victim of police brutality and a bias judicial system, Frank Drew has been falsely accused and wrongfully incarcerated for a crime he did not commit as a juvenile.(16 years old) Sadly a young man lost half of his life, yet in recent years Mr. Drew and his attorneys have unearthed several key pieces of evidence that proves his innocence. Frank has had his innocence stolen from him as a juvenile and a citizen; yet he still stands strong in his faith that one day he will be able to prove his innocence.
Although each day is a mental challenge for Frank, growing up become a man in prison has taken its toll but did not stall out his desire to learn and be productive. Mr. Drew has completed his GED and was an unofficial assistant aiding others in obtaining their GED. He went on to complete Barber College and has cut hair for more than ten years. He's participated in AA, anger management, coping with grief and more. Frank has finished all the required courses at Lakeland College to obtain an associate degree. He was unable to complete the remaining electives due to IDOC changing their policy.
A few years back laws were changed in order to protect our children/juveniles who have been in carcerated those whom received mandatory life sentences) Since then there has been some more changes, but none which directly affect Frank Drew.
While pursuing this rectification, the courts held Frank's case in the form of continuances for 18 years. (YES 18 YEARS!) Please help us by signing this petition for commutation of sentenced to time considered served for Frank Drew; or a resentencing hearing under the guidelines for juveniles.
I submit this petition on behalf of Frank Drew because we as a society have a moral obligation to protect the innocent. Considering the fact that Frank Drew has managed to obtain and education and become a man with great potential to build and add to our society; I humbly ask that you as an individual, a mother, father, sister and brother to find it in your heart to help push this petition for the freedom of an innocent young man, who has been falsely accused as a child and convicted of a crime he did not commit.
Thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated
