A small but growing group of Sewickley residents have gathered to hopefully launch Sewickley's first ever PRIDE event!  It is essential that we create spaces that acknowledge and celebrate our diverse identities, supporting the queer youth of Sewickley, empowering them to be proud of who they are.

Organizing a Sewickley PRIDE event in June 2026 is a step towards inclusivity and acceptance, fostering understanding, unity, and love. Such an event would serve as a beacon of hope and a platform for the queer community to express themselves freely and proudly. It will also be an opportunity for allies to join in support and solidarity, helping to break down the barriers of ignorance and prejudice.

PRIDE events have historically played a significant role in promoting equal rights, educating the public, and celebrating the achievements and culture of the LGBTQ+ community. In Sewickley, this event could include a vibrant parade, educational workshops, and family-friendly activities that promote awareness and inclusiveness.
