I am one among the thousands who grew up watching CBeebies, a children's TV channel that launched in 2002. This channel was an integral part of my childhood and has been for over 10,000 other children since its inception. As someone living with Autism, the familiar comfort of these retro shows provided me with joy and solace.

However, many of us miss the old school retro programmes that we used to love - Playdays, Bodger and Badger, Brum , Fimbles and Big Cook Little Cook. These shows were not just entertainment; they were companions that shaped our formative years.

That's why I propose the launch of CBeebies Retro - a side channel dedicated to airing these classic shows. This will not only cater to those who yearn for nostalgia but also introduce new generations to these timeless classics.
