Help us achieve our goal of having Wellesley Middle School start at 8:30. Right now classes start at 7:45. That’s too early!

School starting later would create a friendlier learning environment, because students will be well rested and ready to learn. Middle schoolers need around 9 hours of sleep every night. Teenagers have a hard time falling asleep early, and would benefit from school starting later.

This change would mean students would pay more attention, learn better and participate more in class. 

We will send this petition to the Wellesley School Commitee on June 10th
