Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 are considered some of the greatest games ever made. With their rich story, complex characters, and incredibly interesting lore and dialogue, Bioware and Obsidian created some truly epic RPG games. 

However, KOTOR 3 never materialized in favor of a SWTOR (an MMO) and a live service game that essentially invalidated all the story build up that Chris Avellone created for Revan and the Exile. 

With the success of Baldur's Gate 3 and Larian Studios and with all likelihood of BG3 winning the Game of the Year award for 2023 - it would be amazing if Larian Studios picks up the project and works together with Chris Avellone to release KOTOR3 as it was meant to be. 

There's clearly a market for well developed, well crafted, beautiful stories with intricate story-telling, rich characters, compelling choices, and moral dilemmas. Larian Studios has proven to understand this formula. Chris Avellone has shown that he is able to write deeply complex and incredibly interesting characters like Kreia and has serious work behind his back with KOTOR2 and Fallout: New Vegas. 

Together and hopefully with the support of Disney, we can see a truly epic KOTOR3, one that truly reaches the greatness of its predecessors.
