Resolution to stop Aggressive Magpie Johnston Crescent

Resolution to stop Aggressive Magpie Johnston Crescent
There is an extremely aggressive magpie on Johnston Crescent with a long history terrorising the neighbourhood. Residents are no longer willing to accommodate Lane Cove council's slow and passive approach to an ongoing immediate aggressive animal threat.
Frequent attempts by multiple community members have been made over past years are yet to come to an acceptable resolution with council, evidence of the frequency of attacks and the severeness of injuries (ranging from eye near misses to broken bones with multiple children harmed) have been provided to council with no acceptable resolution. Unfortunately it is evident now we need to generate some public pressure, we do not do this lightly.
We understand we are sharing the birds habitat and its behaviour is directed to protect its chicks but unfortunately this is on the extreme end of the spectrum and severely impacting the lives of local residents.
It is not possible for some to avoid or protect themselves from this bird, a family with a newborn are swooped every time they leave their house, those who live close to the nest are attacked while carrying groceries, and infants often up and down steps. With the tragic news of a baby dying in QLD this week one must ask when enough is enough.
We ask that you sign our petition to put pressure on Lane Cove Council make firm plans to remove this bird
Sincerely
