Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't had a chance to update this petition sooner. I just wanted to remind everyone who attended the last meeting that there is another one tomorrow evening. Unfortunately when I contacted Adam Yates and Gareth Dowling over the weekend they've been unable to confirm where the meeting is for definite but it will probably be at the Cottage Lane Mission. If it's any different I will post the new venue tomorrow so please check and have a look at the petition itself and I will add the new info if anything changes.
Adam has said he may not be available to attend. Unfortunately I can't either due to a prior commitment but Gareth has contacted me to say he will be chairing the meeting so you can put any questions you may have to him.
I have been informed that there were two cameras installed for 1 week, monitoring the junction for 24 hours a day so that equates to 336 hours of traffic monitoring to go through. I have spoken to Adam regarding this and we both agreed that this will take some time.
At the last PACT meeting it was agreed by Cllr. Fillis (Highways) that the 'Full Safety Review' would be completed within 6 months so we continue to wait for more information regarding this. We would then expect the Safety review to be complete and ready for us all to read by the end of March 2017 and hopefully whatever findings are made will improve the safety of the junction!
Thanks to all of you for your continued support,
Michelle
