I emailed John Fillis about my concern that the cameras were only in place for a few days. This is the response: The cameras were put up on the 22nd September, normally a week of standard traffic flow should be enough to identify problems on a junction. The footage from both cameras will now have to be analysed, which basically means watched by an engineer. This will take some time as it is 7 days, 24 hours a day x 2. This will enable us to identify problems and risks within the traffic flow. If required the cameras will be set up again for specific analysis. We will then work with Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety, looking at past and current information, to agree solutions that will reduce the risks at the junction. Before implementation, consultation will take place with the public and all information will be made available. Thanks John County Councillor John Fillis Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport Lancashire County Council. I just wanted to keep you all updated and as I've mentioned on the previous update I will let you know the venues, times of the next PACT meeting when I have them. Enjoy your weekend. Michelle
