Thanks to everyone for attending the PACT meeting on Monday. Thanks also to John Fillis, Nikki Hennesey and Adam Yates for attending, representation from Highways at LCC and the Police.
Cllr Fillis has agreed that a monitoring camera will be put on the junction within two weeks and a 'Full Safety Review' of the junction will be published and available for us to read within 6 months. Cllr Fillis has not ruled out the installation of enforcement cameras. The camera will be monitoring the sequencing of the traffic lights, traffic flow, and road markings and whether signage can be improved.
I will update as soon as the 'monitoring camera' or 'cameras' are in place.
I am still waiting to hear regarding the FOI request I made to Lancs Police and as soon as I have this information I will publish it to the petition. It was also requested that the most recent figures of traffic 'volume' flowing through the junction be available at the next PACT meeting and Cllr Yates agreed that he could obtain these figures.
The next PACT (Police and Communities Together) meeting is on 24th of Oct, 2016 and the following one is on the 5th of Dec, 2016. As yet venues and times have not been arranged but I will update the petition with this information as soon as I have it.
Thanks
Michelle
