Hello, Seniors! This year has been immensely difficult as we face challenges that we never thought we would encounter. Not only have our works and efforts been taxing, but many opportunities have been stripped from us. Something that would give us a chance to freely express ourselves, without the use of facial expressions (because of our masks), is the decoration of our caps for graduation. Our schools do not permit accessorizing our caps for fear of inappropriate use of power, but this would be an exceptional practice of our Freedom of Speech! Such issue becoming prevalent could amend this rule for graduating classes that follow. It’s simple. As long as our ornamentation is not offensive or provocative, and is instead creative and artistic, there should not be a problem. It is our job to get this to the administration. Let them make the rules and we can flow through them as we normally do. Find our imaginative loopholes, but none that would infringe on said rules. We have faced ineffable challenges. It would be considerably appreciated by your students if you allowed us to participate in this— Please and thank you, LHS and HHS administration!
