UPDATE: The City of Lake Stevens and Costco are moving forward on their controversial proposal for a huge warehouse and mega gas station while people are distracted and preoccupied with the ongoing pandemic and sheltering in place.

Specifically, they are seeking permits from the Army Corps. of Engineers to fill in the wetlands that will be destroyed by this project. The City is also makes the bold assertion that Costco can commence with partial construction now and that a land use permit approval from staff is immanent with no further public input or studies.

Please join the fight to protect our community by sharing your concerns with the Army. Corps of Engineers and the Department of Ecology on the negative impact this sprawling development will have on the existing wetlands, wildlife and vegetation in this open space by APRIL 12th!
