Just a reminder that Mayoral Candidate John LaMotte was largely responsible for making OGLO a NO GO. Both of his opponents supported the bridge. Kohlhoff voted to carry the project forward and Buck started a petition to keep it alive.
City Council Candidate Aaron Rapf also opposes the bridge. One of his opponents, Fireside, wrote a scathing opinion piece criticizing City Council after they withdrew from the project.
Let’s keep OGLO a NO GO. What can we do?
1. Ask everyone you know in Lake Oswego to vote for John LaMotte for mayor and Aaron Rapf for City Council.
2. Write a quick sentence or two asking Lake Oswego to vote for John LaMotte and Aaron Rapf to save our riverfront parks and then submit it to the Lake Oswego Review HERE before the deadline of noon on Friday. If link does not work, you can go the LO Review website and scroll to the very bottom where you'll see where to submit a letter to the editor.
3. VOTE!
"The City of Lake Oswego will contribute no funds for construction or maintenance of a bridge from Oak Grove to Lake Oswego," Councilor John LaMotte said when reading the motion. "The City of Lake Oswego will not support or approve infrastructure for ramps, bridge support structures or other facilities related to an OGLO bridge in Foothills or Tryon Cove Parks." - Lake Oswego Review, November 6, 2019
